ADOPTED!!! Bruce has been at the shelter since the end of July 2009 – he really needs a home ASAP!!!Bruce is a great boy, apprx 3 – 4 yrs old, and very gentle. You can visit Bruce at Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village in Russell Twp, but he is available for adoption only through our rescue since he may have a little pit in him (we really don’t think so). He is new to the rescue and we can’t figure out why anyone would give him up! He’s a very nice dog, knows basic commands, doesn’t have any toy or bone aggression, enjoys playing ball, giving kisses, and takes treats VERY gently. He seems to be housebroken because he’s never made a mess in his kennel – he always waits to be taken outside. He also recently had a sleepover at a volunteer’s home prior to an event, and he did great and went right to the door to ask to go out, even though he’d never been there before! He does pull a little on leash but we will work on that! He’s really a very good boy who doesn’t understand why he lost his home and ended up in a shelter.

Joshua is a very sweet boy, apprx 3 – 4 years old. He was a stray and very emaciated, but has no worms or health problems and is gaining weight every day. He is up to date on shots and is heartworm negative and on preventative, and has been neutered. He is currently close to 50 lbs but we expect he should be closer to 55 – 60 lbs once he is at a healthy weight. He has no food or bone/toy aggression even though he was starving for so long. He is well on his way to being housebroken and learning how to interact and play with people. He shows more personality every day! He is ok with other dogs and has been around a few different sizes, genders, and ages and has doen very well. He does ok with cats if properly introduced.

Layna is a very sweet and young (apprx 1 yr old) boxer girl who was abandoned and left tied to the porch when her family moved out. She recently had her tail amputated as it was constantly bleeding from wagging so hard and boxer tails are so thin you just can’t stop it (which is why they are normally docked in the first place). She is good with other dogs as long as properly introduced, and she is great with all people, and kids, and very smart. She likes to play ball, and play with a rope hanging from a tree, and is learning quickly to walk nicely on lead. She has not had any accidents in our home or in her crate or kennel, and seems to be housebroken. She has a high prey drive and most likely would not get along with cats.

URGENT!! Whitney is a great little boxer mix! She is young, apprx 1 year old, gets along with other dogs and cats, and is super friendly! Whitney is a doll – she is very sweet, playful, and also likes cuddling very much. All she wants is to be with her people. It would be hard to find another dog as sweet and affectionate as Whitney is – she is truly wonderful! She is very happy-go-lucky and up for anything. Unfortunately her foster home will not be able to keep her for much longer which is why she is urgent – we have nowhere for her to go!!!! PLEASE give her a chance!

This adorable box mix pup will be available for adoption in a few weeks, but we are takiing applications now. He is 8 weeks old currently and very, very cute! He needs to gain a little weight and will need at least one more set of shots and to be neutered prior to adoption. As he grows a little more, we may have a better idea of what he is mixed with but are fairly certain there is boxer in him – just not sure what else! He is being fostered with a lab and 2 small dogs currently so he will be properly socialized with other dogs, and is doing great. He can already go up and down stairs which is pretty amazing for how young he is!

URGENT!! Brody is a super friendly young purebred white boxer. He is deaf which is common with many white dogs, especially white boxers but we have lots of great training resources to help with deaf dogs. He is great with people and kids. He loves other dogs but can not hear warnings from them due to being deaf so needs to be placed with even-tempered dogs with patience. He is apprx. 50 pounds and about 1 year old and UTD on all shots and neutered. He needs basic obedience training but does know sit and stay.

ADOPTED!! Nina is a great girl who was taken from her home a few months ago and has really blossomed! She will be one year old on thanksgiving, and very loveable! Nina is a very sweet girl, and likes everyone. She loves to play ball and go for walks and rides in the car. She did live with children and was very good with them. She also lived with two other dogs and has played well with another dog we have introduced her to so should be able to get along with other dogs and even play as long as properly introduced. She also lives with a cat in her foster home, and gets along fine with the cat as well.

Lucas is apprx 5 months old and absolutely adorable! He will be neutered very soon, he’s almost ready. He has had all his shots and plays well with other dogs. He was found as a stray so we don’t have a lot of background info on him. He seems to like just about everyone and is currently being fostered in a situation where he is highly socialized with lots of other dogs and people. We have just learned that Lucas is deaf so he will need special training with hand signals since he can’t hear commands obviously.

ADOPTED!!!! Ozzy is a very cute little pup, apprx 4 mos old and is going to be a big boy when he grows up! He is super sweet and a big puffball – can’t really tell from the pics but he is pretty fluffy and a big boy already!

Tiki has been adopted!!!! Tiki is a very sweet and energetic little girl! She is apprx 6 to 8 months old and loves everyone. She was a stray but is crate-trained and housebroken. She likes to play with other dogs and does very well with small dogs too. One of her most recent friends was a small puggle. She is afraid of cats and does not bother them.
